About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Florence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with all guests. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and directing authorized individuals at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic, document arrivals and departures, and help to deter unauthorized access to the property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
• Support gatehouse, lobby, and/or dock access operations by checking identification, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting security-related issues, access concerns, and/or operational disruptions that may require follow-up.
