As a Security Officer Visitor Management in Piedmont, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations through visible presence, routine activity, and strong communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain accurate logs to help support authorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Support truck gate, dock, and vehicle access activities by checking identification, confirming scheduled arrivals and/or departures, and reporting access concerns through established procedures.
