About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Desk in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet visitors, verify identification and/or credentials, and help manage visitor check-in processes in accordance with site policies.
  • Answer phones, assist employees, guests, and vendors with directions and general inquiries, and help support a professional front desk experience.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records related to access activity, visitor traffic, deliveries, and other front desk security-related matters.
