At a busy commercial real estate location, Allied Universal Front Desk Officers welcome tenants and visitors, manage access, monitor security-related activity, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting tenants, visitors, and contractors at the front desk, following site-specific procedures, and supporting access control activities for the location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify visitor credentials, issue temporary passes as needed, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related events.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, direct inquiries, and support front desk operations while helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and consistent application of property procedures.
  • Complete incident reports, visitor logs, and other required documentation, and relay important information during shift changes to support ongoing security-related awareness at the property.
