About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control - Visitor Center in Hershey, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Be part of a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while supporting daily site operations. This is a Part Time / Seasonal position, but with outstanding work and attendance performance, it can lead to a permanent opportunity.

Requirements

  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in the elements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating relevant details to site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify entry authorization, and assist with visitor and contractor processing in accordance with site protocols and posted instructions.
  • Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by reporting hazards, damaged equipment, spills, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
