Job Description As a Security Officer - Utility Entry Driver in Glasgow, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a critical utilities location where you will help manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and support badge and entry procedures. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, where agility, teamwork, and integrity guide every interaction. Pre-Employment Requirements: Valid Driver's License with a least 1 year of driving experience
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a utilities location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing deliveries to appropriate areas.
- Monitor access control systems and communications equipment, report irregularities, and complete required documentation such as incident reports and access logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, restricted areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
