Job Description As a Security Officer Utility Gate Driver in Glasgow, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a utilities location as an Access Control Officer, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and maintain clear visitor and delivery logs. You will conduct routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns, stay highly visible, and communicate professionally with employees and guests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring your integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, and innovative team. Pre-Employment Requirements: Valid Driver's License with a least 1 year of driving experience

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and credentials, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries and contractors to approved areas.
Monitor alarms, access control systems, and camera feeds as assigned, and report unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations through required communication channels.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting first responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, substations, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, identify hazards, and complete required reports.
