Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a utilities location.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or badging, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
Monitor and document vehicle and pedestrian traffic, assist with gate operations, and maintain accurate logs and reports for security-related activities and unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
