As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will spend much of your shift on the move, driving and walking assigned routes, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will check key areas, report concerns, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access control points, gates, and visitor/vendor activity in accordance with site rules, verifying authorization and directing individuals as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and support Allied Universal account requirements for documentation and shift turnover.
