As a Security Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and timely reporting. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy requirements. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting hazards and/or unusual activity.
  • Control access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and managing visitor and contractor entry and exit in accordance with location requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol activities, incidents, and shift events, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
