As a Front Desk Officer at a utilities location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify access, issue badges, monitor cameras and alarms, log activity, and communicate quickly about security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with agile, reliable, and innovative service, putting people first while delivering through teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Control access at the front desk by greeting visitors, confirming identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to approved destinations.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems as assigned, and report unusual activity or maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
- Answer phones, manage incoming deliveries and contractors, and route calls and inquiries to the correct departments.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting management and/or emergency services as directed.
- Complete required logs, access records, and incident documentation, and communicate security-related information during shift transitions to help support continuity of operations.
