As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to patrol larger areas and complete detailed reports. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, yards, substations, and perimeter areas, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications and/or requesting assistance per post orders.
  • Control access at gates, lots, and entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors and vendors, and directing traffic and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to supervisors and/or site contacts, and support investigations by preserving relevant information.
