As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and deliver helpful customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will need a valid driver’s license and meet AU Driver Policy Requirements while supporting a caring, agile team that acts with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout utility operations areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
- Monitor gates, entrances, and restricted areas; verify access credentials and/or visitor logs per site requirements, and report irregularities to supervision.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from emergency services and/or site contacts when needed.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site management, and support investigations by preserving notes and/or available video observations.
