As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access points as needed. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams and/or visitors, and deliver customer service with integrity. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, lots, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Control access at gates, entrances, and restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing traffic, and checking deliveries and/or service vendors in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, and report unusual conditions such as damaged fencing, open doors, or suspicious behavior.
