As a Security Officer - University Campus Rover in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by location and time of day.
Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor arrival, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests according to site procedures.
Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and other systems as assigned, reporting irregular activity and/or equipment issues to the appropriate contacts.
Complete shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs with clear, accurate, and timely documentation.
Provide assistance with traffic flow during student arrival and dismissal times, special events, and/or deliveries when assigned.
Support school operations by coordinating with administrators and/or staff during drills, lockdown-related protocols, and other emergency response activities per site policy.
Conduct security-related checks of doors, gates, and exterior lighting, reporting unsecured areas and/or hazards to site contacts for follow-up.
Maintain a professional presence and appearance, using de-escalation and communication techniques to help reduce conflicts and/or disruptions on campus.
