As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, theft, and property damage through a visible patrol presence and timely reporting of observed concerns.
