As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Observation in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and reporting of maintenance, lighting, and other property-related concerns that may impact daily operations.
• Support after-hours and routine building operations by observing activity throughout the location, following post orders, and preparing accurate incident and activity reports.
