As a Security Officer Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verifying credentials and reporting unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by observing site conditions, reporting hazards, equipment issues, and/or maintenance concerns, and assisting with orderly traffic and pedestrian flow when needed.
