About The Position

Our unarmed Security Officers are responsible for day-to-day security screening of airport employees and other individuals passing through Screening Locations.

Requirements

• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must possess a current Florida Class-D Security License
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references
• Must possess valid state-issued Driver’s License or a valid state-issued I.D. card
• Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work and interact with the public
• Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required

Responsibilities

• Identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through screening locations
• Carrying out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service
• Using diverse, cutting-edge electronic detection and imaging equipment
• Performing metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines, physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed
• Performing additional security related duties to ensure safety to the traveling public
