As a Security Officer Badge Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving access control professional at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and entry and exit documentation at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor gates, access points, and/or visitor processing areas to help support authorized entry, verify identification, and report unusual activity according to post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response activities and communicating with site contacts when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access control areas, operational buildings, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports related to visitor activity, deliveries, access exceptions, and/or incidents, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and site personnel.
