As a Security Officer Unarmed Credential Patrol in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or other authorized personnel at a utility location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
Report hazardous conditions, equipment concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
