About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial engineering location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
