About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed TWIC in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial engineering location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
