As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic port location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential TWIC issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout port facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles, verifying credentials and reporting concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support daily operations by preparing reports, noting maintenance or operational issues observed during patrols, and sharing information with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site representatives.
