As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Rover in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols for a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, access activity, and/or visitor movement while assisting with policy compliance and documenting security-related incidents or irregularities.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with building contacts, directing occupants, and/or assisting first responders as needed.
