Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and promptly communicating with appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and incidents according to site requirements.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
