Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, damaged property, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and responding public service agencies.
