In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist passengers, visitors, and staff with professional communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or passengers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including public areas, restricted areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing activity, and reporting unusual behavior and/or conditions.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leaders and site contacts.
