Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support site personnel and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, restricted zones, and perimeter points, looking for hazards, unauthorized activity, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and vehicles, helping to verify authorization, maintain required logs, and follow established screening and badge procedures.
  • Support security-related operations at a chemical and petrochemical location by following post orders, communicating clearly during routine and urgent situations, and helping to deter trespassing, theft, and/or policy violations.
