About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol supporting a logistics and distribution facility in Portland, Oregon, you will help safeguard the client, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide customer service and communication. The role is full-time and pays $20.00 per hour, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and vehicles, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
