About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Technology Support in Canton, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
