As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a high-end retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and store personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, documenting incidents, and assisting with closing procedures and after-hours patrol activity as assigned.
