About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Shift in Santa Rosa, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with calm teamwork. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, noting and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate departments while supporting visitor management processes.
  • Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation, and communicate observations and follow-up items to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
