About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Route in Allen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will interact with shoppers, tenants, and staff while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations through visible presence and professional interaction.
• Support closing and opening routines, assist with alarm-related responses as directed, and communicate clearly with management, employees, and/or first responders when needed.
