Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, dock doors, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and/or deliveries, verify credentials and/or authorized access, and report discrepancies, damaged barriers, or unsecured areas to site leadership.
  • Support daily operations by observing shipping and receiving activity, reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and communicating professionally with drivers, staff, and local responders when needed.
