As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Property Protection in La Crescenta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at an educational location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and response procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site policies, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
