As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Lead in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or supervisors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including loading areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor the movement of visitors, vendors, and/or delivery traffic at the location, helping to support authorized access practices and reporting irregularities according to site protocols.
  • Assist with observing trailer yards, dock areas, and other distribution-related spaces for policy compliance, operational disruptions, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate findings through required reports.
