About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Response in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional customer service and communication. You will use technology to document activity and report concerns while working with a reliable, agile, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a data center location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms, and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain required logs and reports.
• Assist with the implementation of site-specific entry, visitor management, and incident-reporting procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
