As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide courteous customer service to residents and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, community policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential community grounds, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe community activity, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs while maintaining a professional presence throughout the residential location.
