About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Corporate Office in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Professional at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor security-related activity, support access control, and provide welcoming service to guests and staff. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hotel personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest corridors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe guest and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports for incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
