As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to calls for assistance with a calm, people-first approach. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, suspicious behavior, or unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
