As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will respond to alarms and access control needs, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the shelter location, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as required, and help maintain an orderly environment for residents and staff.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
