About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console Operator in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with residents and visitors, and support access control and alarm response activities. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing residents, guests, deliveries, and vendors as needed.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.
