Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the campus location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in assigned areas, providing directions, answering questions, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.
• Support daily campus operations by preparing reports, reporting maintenance or environmental concerns, and assisting with security-related requests in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location policies.
