Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout offices, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support badge, check-in, and/or package control procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Assist with routine security-related inspections of doors, gates, lighting, and other key areas, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
