As a Security Officer Unarmed Incident Observer in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond with professionalism, and assist riders and staff through clear communication and exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
  • Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or designated personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, report suspicious activity, document incidents, and communicate observations to transit personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Assist with crowd management, directional support, and compliance with location rules while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
