As a Security Officer Unarmed - General Duty in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and respond to site needs with integrity. Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report observed hazards, damaged property, unusual activity, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
