As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, hazard, and security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or visitor information as required, and support authorized access for personnel, vendors, and deliveries.
• Communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and/or first responders regarding incidents, weather-related events, outages, and other developing situations that may affect operations.
