As a Security Officer Entry Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving access control officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and/or visitor processing at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen authorized personnel and/or deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and/or sensitive areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas, gates, and critical access points, while observing for security-related concerns and/or policy violations.
  • Document daily activities, access events, and/or incident details in required logs and reports, and support site-specific emergency response activities as directed.
