As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will complete routine patrols and primarily driving rounds, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist customers and store teams with friendly service, clear communication, and quick response to concerns. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances and exits, receiving areas, and exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential theft, and/or policy violations, helping to deter loss and maintain order; document observations in written reports and logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with store management and/or law enforcement when requested.
• Monitor alarms, access points, and/or video surveillance systems when assigned, and communicate timely updates to site contacts using radios, phones, and/or approved reporting tools.
