Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas while assisting with directions, visitor-related questions, and escalation of security-related matters to site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
• Support a professional environment by following post orders, communicating clearly with site personnel and/or the public, and maintaining awareness of activity that may require follow-up.
